Larry Schulte

Larry Schulte was raised on a farm near Pleasanton, Nebraska. He earned degrees in mathematics and art from Kearney State College (now the University of Nebraska at Kearney) and a Ph.D. from the University of Kansas, specializing in early childhood art education and statistics. His career has included teaching, academic administration as Assistant Dean at Parsons School of Design, international banking, and commercial real estate management in New York City. A practicing visual artist for more than 50 years, Schulte also began writing poetry in 2010. Since retiring to Albuquerque in 2015, he has continued his studio practice and creative writing studies.
