Alice Webb ~ Elements of Composition, Critique Session and Presentation
You are invited to bring artwork for a friendly critique by Alice, time permitting

A life-long artist, teacher and learner, Alice Webb has both a BFA and a MA in Art Education from the University of New Mexico where she graduated with Honors. Webb, who lived in Taos from 1973 until 1990, where she worked along-side many notable artists and studied with Fritz Scholder, says, “I like to think that I grew up as an artist in Taos.” During the mid 90’s Webb taught classes and workshops to children and adults at numerous non-profits in Santa Fe and Albuquerque including Harwood Art Center. From 2003 until 2018 she taught art in Albuquerque Public schools and in the Art Educaton Department at UNM. In 2016 Webb was named an Albuquerque Art Treasure and in 2024 her work was chosen by New Mexico magazine for publication in their annual calendar.  Alice Webb has painted the Southwest for over forty-five years. Her landscapes have been exhibited nationally and internationally and are in numerous public, private, and corporate collections. website

August Mini Drawing Lesson Instructor

Kathleen Keating

Bring your sketchbooks and drawing supplies!  It is suggested to bring a small drawing board with paper so you can draw along with the instructor during the demo. Otherwise, a sketchbook with a firm backing will work fine.

Kathleen currently lives in New Mexico. She began her art journey by copying her father’s pony drawings at the age of four and studied at the Florence Academy of Art in 2004, 2012 and 2019. Art creation runs in the family as her father and grandfather were both artists. website

RGAA is looking for volunteers to do a mini drawing lessons at our monthly meetings. If interested contact
Kirsty Kilpatrick.
